Many manufacturers cut corners using wood to construct their seat boxes. Which do you think is stronger? The steel of course! A direct drive cross bar evenly distributes the pressure to each side when opening and closing your recliner to reduce wear. 8-gauge springs are integrated into the steel seat box to complement our comfort-gel pocketed coil seat cushions for unmatched comfort and support.
